Sky News host Nick Reece says the government is treating the coronavirus vaccine rollout "like a leisurely stroll" when there are material implications for Australians the longer it drags on.
"The Prime Minister said Australia would be at the front of the queue when it came to vaccines. Well, we're not. There are over seventy countries ahead of us in terms of vaccine rollout," he said.
"The Health Minister Greg Hunt said four million jabs were to be administered by the end of March. The government looks like it is going to fall 3.9 million jabs short of that target.
"The government said the vaccine rollout would be completed by October; this week we learned it's now looking more like 2022.
Mr Reece said the vaccine would protect the health of Australians and the economic health of Australia by allowing the country to open international and state borders once and for all once a majority of the population was vaccinated ....
