The self-identified organizer of this Dec. 12 Kelowna event has been issued a ticket for violating Item 23.5 of the COVID-19 Related Measures Act. This is a contravention of the Gatherings and Events Order and comes with a fine of $2,300.

The organizer of a Saturday protest in Kelowna has been issued a $2,300 fine for being in contravention of the provincial COVID-19 Related Measures Act.
A protest against COVID-19 health orders and recommendations held Dec. 12 attracted hundreds of people to the downtown core, where a march commenced.
Frontline officers of the Kelowna RCMP were present to ensure the safety of the protesters and the rest of the public, RCMP said in a press release issued by Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy. ....
