Financial technology provider, SystemSpecs, has empowered Nigerian children by motivating on ideas on various means to enhance the country’s national security through technology.
A statement by the organisation on Tuesday said the technology firm motivated the top three students in both senior and junior categories of its 2021 Children’s Day Essay Competition, themed ‘Building a more secure Nigeria using technology’.
The Managing Director, SystemSpecs, John Obaro, praised the patriotism and ingenuity of all the participants in the essay competition.
“For our dear children who have taken it upon themselves to think about the use of technology in addressing what is probably the biggest challenge of our country today, security, we say thank you,” he said. ....

Financial and human capital technology provider, SystemSpecs, has revealed the list of inspiring personalities who will serve as judges in this year’s edition of its annual Children’s Day Essay Competition.
They include Bayo Adekanmbi, MTN Nigeria’s Chief Transformation Officer; Jumoke Lawoyin, techpreneur and Chief Executive Officer at Lucy.ng; and Emeka Okoye, Chief Semantic Architect and Knowledge Engineer at Cymantiks Nigeria.
This disclosure comes as the deadline for the submission of entries into the essay competition was also extended till April 30th, 2021. SystemSpecs Unveils Judges for Children's Day Contest

Information technology firm, SystemSpecs, has unveiled judges for the 2021 edition of its Children’s Day essay competition.
The firm also extended deadline for the submission of entries into the competition till April 30th, 2021.
According to the organisation, the extension was in response to requests by schools and students affected by the irregular school terms regime across Nigeria, to enable them participate in the competition.
Themed “Building a more Secure Nigeria using Technology”, the competition was in furtherance of the firm’s commitment to the development of indigenous IT capacity for national prosperity.
It is opened to children that school and live in Nigeria, who would be no less than 9 years and not older than 16 years by May 26, 2021. ....

Firm Announces Children's Day Essay Contest

Technology firm, SystemSpecs has announced the call for participation in the 2021 edition of its Children’s Day Essay Competition.
The firm stated that the initiative was in furtherance of its commitment to the development of indigenous IT capacity for national prosperity.
According to the organisation, entries are open to children in the junior and senior categories across the country.
It noted that the entries for the competition themed: “Building a more Secure Nigeria using Technology”, should be submitted through the company’s portal latest by May 26.
Speaking further, Executive Director of SystemSpecs, Deremi Atanda said, “It is our belief that a solid technology foundation is necessary for any nation to compete and thrive in contemporary times. Local students win state essay contest
Students in Groton and Waterford are among the winners of this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Essay Contest, hosted by U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy.
Cierra Bass of Fitch High School and Ella DeVito of Oswegatchie Elementary School were named winners in the 2nd Congressional District. Nearly 2,800 submissions were entered, and three students from each of Connecticut’s five federal congressional districts were selected as winners in the annual contest, now in its fifth year.
“The events of the past year have laid bare the mass inequities in our country and, as we reflect on Dr. King’s dream for justice and equality in America, it is clear we still have a way to go,” Murphy said in a release. “The essays submitted by students across Connecticut continue to give me hope. I’m certain that if these students continue to stay engaged in their community and reject the sins of our past, we’ll realize Dr. King’s dream sooner ....
