U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher. At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.66% to hit a new all time high, while the S&P 500 index climbed 0.74%, and the NASDAQ Composite index gained 0.88%. The best performers of the session on the Dow Jones Industrial Average were Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE), which rose 3.24% or 4.32 points to trade at 137.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Boeing Co (NYSE:BA) added 2.47% or 5.67 points to end at 235.48 and Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CSCO) was up 1.85% or 0.97 points to 53.41 in late trade. ....

Nikkei 225, ASX 200 May Climb DOW JONES, NIKKEI 225, ASX 200 INDEX OUTLOOK: 10-Year Treasury yield retreated to 1.518% as core inflation came below expectation Reflation trade is back in centerstage after House approval of the massive fiscal stimulus Inflation, Fiscal Stimulus, Yields, US Dollar, Asia-Pacific at Open: Wall Street equities traded broadly higher as inflation fears eased following a lower-than-expected US February core CPI data. The reading came in at 1.3% YoY, compared to the baseline forecast of 1.4%. The headline CPI reading, which includes volatile food and energy prices, came in line with expectations at 1.7%. As a result, the 10-year US Treasury yield retreated for a second day to 1.518% and the US Dollar index (DXY) fell to 91.79, alleviating pressure on risk assets and precious metals. The Dow Jones index climbed 1.46%, with all sectors ending in the green. This may set a positive tone for Asia-Pacific ....
