[email protected] JOHNSTOWN The Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education recently approved creation of a 12-month school secretary position. In related personnel action, the board approved the probationary appointment of Justine Lewis as administrative assistant 12 months per year. The salary for the position is $37,375 annually, retroactive to Jan. 19. The board temporarily amended the appointment of teacher aide Amber Rumrill, effective Feb. 12. “This is a change from five hours a day to seven hours a day,” noted board President Christopher Tallon. The position runs through June 30, and the action is pursuant to the Civil Service Employees Association collective bargaining agreement. ....
Jilly Todaro Update 8:42 pm Search warrants that were issued by police in December are revealing new details about the search for missing Johnstown woman Jilly Todaro. We obtained copies of the search warrants Friday. Police say the last confirmed sighting of Todaro was by a Johnstown officer who saw her in Central Park the morning of Dec. 12. Police were notified Dec. 16 that Todaro hadn’t been seen or heard from in several days. Investigators searched Todaro’s Franklin Street home Dec. 23 combing for clues that could lead to information on Todaro’s whereabouts. According to the search warrant, police seized several household items that have been sent to a state police crime lab for analysis. ....
