May 14, 2021 The Four County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services has approved a resolution that will lead to placement of a seven-tenths mill renewal levy on the ballot in November of this year. The action took place at their meeting on Thursday. The funding from this levy represents about 65% of the budget for Adams board services throughout the year, including mental health, addiction, family violence treatment, and prevention services. This levy would be on the ballot in Defiance, Henry, Fulton and Williams Counties, where residents have approved the issue each five years, for a period of almost 40 years. ....

Jan 19, 2021 The Four County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services is set to receive nearly $918,000 in federal funds for projects that support substance use and abuse services. At their meeting Thursday, the board awarded over $550,000 to A Renewed Mind Behavioral Health Services, nearly $182,000 to the Maumee Valley Guidance Center, and over $177,700 to Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio. A Renewed Mind will utilize the funds to provide extended stays at their men’s residential facility in Napoleon for clients that need more than 30 days of residential treatment.Some of the funds will also be used for walk-in services, including diagnostic evaluation, linking clients to treatment.Maumee Valley Guidance Center will be purchasing mini-vans to transport clients, and to expand their adolescent prevention program. ....
