HOUSTON Texas Iron and Metal is facing a suit alleging its negligence led to a subcontractor being struck by a metal rod while unloading a truck. 
Roberto Montelongo filed a complaint Feb. 22 in Harris County District Court against Texas Iron and Metal Co., alleging negligence. 
Montelongo alleges in his complaint that he was hired by a store owner to do work on steel and metal beams. He claims on Oct. 1, 2020, while helping to load the metal into the back of the delivery truck, he bent down to pick up a metal rod that had fallen on the ground when another metal rod in the truck shifted.  ....
