Community pharmacies join COVID-19 vaccination roll-out
Life-saving coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinations will begin to be delivered from a city centre pharmacy, and a former church in the Clay Country from today(Thursday 28 January).
Reeds Pharmacy in Truro, and Roche Pharmacy in Roche are among hundreds of community pharmacies to offer vaccinations to protect against the deadly virus.
The two community pharmacies join the expanding roll-out of the programme – the biggest vaccination programme in NHS history.
They join the large scale vaccination centre at Stithians Showground, near Truro, and the 13 GP-led primary care network sites across Cornwall already delivering the vaccine. Two hundred pharmacies across the country are expected to offer the vaccine by the end of the month. ....
