The International Ski Federation (FIS) has confirmed the Russian team participating at upcoming World Championships will be referred to as the Russian Ski Federation (RSF).
The FIS Council approved the measure during an online meeting this week.
International Federations have had to implement measures after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upheld sanctions imposed on Russia by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in December.
The CAS halved the sanction period from four years to two, but Russia must compete as neutrals at World Championships and the Olympic Games.
Federations must now regard them as neutral teams, separate from the Russia name.
Val di Fiemme set to stage final three legs of FIS Tour de Ski Thursday, 7 January 2021
The International Ski Federation (FIS) Tour de Ski is set to conclude with three stages in as many days in the Italian resort of Val di Fiemme.
Forming part of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup, the eight-leg competition has so far seen athletes battle it out in Val Müstair in Switzerland and Toblach in Italy.
All eyes will now be fixed on Val di Fiemme over the next three days where leaders Alexander Bolshunov of Russia and Jessie Diggins of the United States will look to clinch the titles.
