KOICA provides USD 260,000 for healthcare

The Health Ministry together with the Government of the Republic of Korea through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and UNOPS provided funds for medical equipment and supplies including PPEs and medical gas worth USD 260,000 to the Korea Sri Lanka Friendship Hospital in Matara recently.
Health Ministry Senior Officials including the Deputy Director General Planning, and the Matara General Hospital Deputy Director participated in the ceremony in this regard.
The Maternal and Newborn Healthcare Strengthening Project is building a modern building replacing the old one at the Korea Sri Lanka Friendship Hospital. The project was making headway until the hospital was declared a COVID-19 Treatment Centre and was partially handed over on the same day. ....
