3-day 'Janta curfew' imposed in Maharashtra's Jalgaon from March 11 | Nashik News

The Janta curfew will be in place from 8 pm on Thursday till 8 am on Monday.
JALGAON: In wake of a surge in the cases of Covid-19, Janta curfew will be imposed for three days in Maharashtra s Jalgaon district.
An order to this effect has been issued by the District Magistrate of Jalgaon on Tuesday.
The Janta curfew will be in place from 8pm on Thursday till 8am on Monday.
Janta Curfew to be imposed from 11th March, 8pm till 15th March, 8am in the Municipal corporation limits in Jalgaon, said District Magistrate of Jalgaon Abhijit Raut.
Emergency services, MPSC and other Departments exams exempted, Raut said. ....

Nashik: A Nepal-based trader was recently helped by Nashik Range IG (Special) Pratap Dighavkar in getting his Rs 6.5 lakh that was stuck with an onion exporter in Chandwad.
The Nepalese trader, claiming that the onion trader was not exporting the produce for which the payment was already made, but was also not returning the money. The police soon swung into action and ensured that the complainant got his money back within 24 hours.
The trader from Nepal, Rajaram Muktinath Regmi, had sought onion from the exporter after getting an assurance of a good deal. However, despite Regmi paying Rs 6.50 lakh, the exporter did not keep his word. ....

NASHIK: Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Saturday conducted a cleaning drive at 24 locations in the city and collected over 36 tonnes of solid waste.
The Nashik municipal commissioner Kailas Jadhav himself along with other civic officials cleaned Mahamarg bus stand and nearby areas as part of the drive.
“We have launched the ‘Mission clean Nashik’ as per the directive of the municipal commissioner Kailas Jadhav. The cleaning drive will be conducted once in all six divisions.” Our objective is to make the Nashik city clean, said Kalpana Kute, director, solid waste department of the civic body.
NMC also wants to drive home the message to the residents of the city to keep the city clean in view of the forthcoming Swachh Survekshan that will be undertaken by the central government. ....

NASHIK: Shiv Sena spokesman and MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday said it was an “open war” between Raj Bhavan and the Maharashtra government and accused the BJP of using governor B S Koshyari to “pressurise” and “destabilise” the government.
Raut alleged that many decisions taken by the government, which needed the approval of the governor, were stuck due to “political pressure”. The nomination of 12 members of the legislative council (MLCs) was just one of the many decisions that had been held up, he said.
Raut, who was on a two-day tour of Nashik, was speaking to the media when he was asked about the “cold war” between the state government and the governor. “It is not a cold war.
