Nagaland: In a traffic advisory issued by the Kohima Traffic Police it has been stated that the route from Nagaland Legislative Assembly junction to Thizama will be closed for all traffic movement from 17th February till further notice.
As landslides have affected the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Complex, a major rock bolting exercise is to be carried out by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department as a mitigative measure from 17th February 2021 with heavy machineries to be placed on the Thizama road below the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Complex.

KOHIMA/ IMPHAL: The two-week long wildfire in Dzukou Valley on Nagaland-Manipur borders has been doused, and no fresh fire or smoke was visible on Monday, said officials.
Kohima District Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammed Ali Shihad A said that a coordination cum de-briefing meeting was held in connection with the Dzukou Valley wildfire and the meeting reviewed the entire operation. The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) would assess the damage caused to the forest, environment and other flora and fauna in Dzukou Valley, said the DC.

KOHIMA: No active fire or smoke was noticed in Nagaland s Dzukou range but firefighters are keeping a close watch, a forest officer said on Saturday.
Low-intensity smoke seen at a spot was doused by IAF helicopters by afternoon, Kohima Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Rajkumar M said.
Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, National Disaster Response Force and the IAF carried out an aerial survey and reported that no active fire or smoke was detected till 4.30 pm, he said.

Kohima/Imphal, Jan 8 : The fire fighters, including the IAF and the NDRF, would continue their operation for another two days to fully douse the 11-day long wildfire in the famous Dzukou Valley on Nagaland-Manipur, officials said on Friday night.
Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority OSD Johnny Ruangmei said that the wildfire in the valley has been largely controlled with the combined efforts of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force (IAF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), paramilitary forces, state authorities, and hundreds of volunteers and locals.
