ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday dismissed appeals of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif against his conviction in Avenfield and Al-Azizia references for being fugitive from law. The court, however, left the window open for rehearing of the appeals upon his surrender or re-arrest by law enforcement agencies and production before the court. “Appellant [Nawaz Sharif] may file an application before this court, as and when he surrenders or is captured by the authorities, for decision of the appeal on merits. Needless to observe that the said application, if and when is made, shall be decided in accordance with the law,” the court said in its order. ....
