UMD student art on display The University of Minnesota Duluth s Department of Art & Design presents its annual student show online. There are 77 works by 52 students on display, and the website was designed by students, too. Themes include politics, staying at home, baking cakes, taking a bath when combined, the works provide a nice snapshot of a school year in quarantine. Note: To view the artworks, visit the website and click on the icon of three lines on the upper right. This will open a menu with the option see the show. Monthly photography exhibit Photography at the Rock, features Christian Dalbec who specializes in wave and water photography as well as drone work. He will be on site on March 13 and March 31. Beginning March 13, visitors can enjoy a new Keeper’s Tour which is a guided tour of the lighthouse and keeper’s house that brings to life stories of the lightstation. It is currently the only way to go inside the lighthouse. The tour, 45 minutes long, will be limited to 10 people to ensure social distancing and other COVID-19 safety protocols can be maintained. It will be offered 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and at 10:30 a.m. Sundays in March and April, with expanded tour hours starting May 1. Cost: $25. Visitors not wanting to take the tour can purchase a Grounds Pass which provides access to the grounds, visitor ....
