A PRIMARY school has raised almost £10,000 for charity in support of a poorly pupil described as a beacon of light for everyone. A charity walk was the latest fundraising initiative by South Kilvington C of E Primary School pupils who are supporting the Candlelighters charity in honour of classmate Amelia. Brave Amelia sadly learned earlier this year that her leukaemia had returned for a second time, so pupils donned red clothing - her favourite colour - and completed a charity walk with the support of parents and villagers. Headteacher Stephen Butterworth thanked everyone who supported the event, saying: This would not have been possible without the fantastic support from the Friends of School team who marshalled the event, the Parish Team who provided refreshments and the support of families and local residents on the village green to clap the children in. ....
