$2 Million Ticket Sold in Waterloo

Posted by scottsuhr on A Powerball ticket sold at a liquor store in Waterloo is a $2 million winner, according to KWWL. The ticket, sold at New Star Liquor on West 4 th Street, came within one number of winning the nearly $156 million jackpot. The winning numbers for Saturday’s drawing were 12-17-20-21-26 with the Powerball 8. The Power Play number was 3. Nobody hit the jackpot, so the prize will grow to an estimated $168 million for Wednesday’s drawing. New Star Liquor will get a $2,000 bonus for selling the ticket. The winner of the $2 million prize has not yet been identified. They will need to claim their prize at the Lottery headquarters in Clive. This is the second biggest prize won on Powerball in Iowa this year.
