Our friends at Midwest Bus Trips are starting local tours in June. Over the weekend, Aaron from MWBT invited me out for a dry run and a tour of the Kinsella house used in the filming of the movie.
I realize there isn t an abundance of local movies shot in the area. Sylvester Stallone s F.I.S.T. from 1978 and Robert Hays Take This Job and Shove It from 1981 are two examples that come to mind. (The hospitality room inside the Star Brewery in Dubuque has a room full of memorabilia dedicated to those films.)

A Powerball ticket sold at a liquor store in Waterloo is a $2 million winner, according to KWWL. The ticket, sold at New Star Liquor on West 4
th Street, came within one number of winning the nearly $156 million jackpot. The winning numbers for Saturday’s drawing were 12-17-20-21-26 with the Powerball 8. The Power Play number was 3. Nobody hit the jackpot, so the prize will grow to an estimated $168 million for Wednesday’s drawing. New Star Liquor will get a $2,000 bonus for selling the ticket. The winner of the $2 million prize has not yet been identified. They will need to claim their prize at the Lottery headquarters in Clive. This is the second biggest prize won on Powerball in Iowa this year.
