Australia Post backflip on no perishables postage helps CQ

Thousands of Central Queensland businesses and customers can rejoice that Australia Post has backflipped on its decision to stop delivering perishables.
On Wednesday the government-owned company revealed it would stop delivering perishable foods such as meats, seafood, eggs or frozen meals from June 30, because of complex food safety and regulatory requirements across states and territories.
Suddenly, hundreds of thousands of regional businesses that rely on the service to survive were left helpless.
News of the plan spread rapidly and the criticism quickly followed, resulting in Australia Post announcing on Thursday the service will continue in a partnership with Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman Bruce Billson. ....

Cyberjaya, 1 April 2021: Continuing its ‘Reinvent’ mission, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) announced Razif Abdul Aziz as its new Vice President of Investment and Grants. Razif will manage the ongoing and upcoming initiatives to drive investments in Malaysia’s digital economy and to manage grants distribution across all MDEC programmes. He will report to Raymond Siva, Senior Vice President of Investment and Brand, and CMO of MDEC.
Of immediate importance, Razif will lead the efforts to strengthen the integrity of the grants framework and institutionalising best practices in the evaluation, disbursement and monitoring of all MDEC-managed grants and its alignment to MDEC’s investment attraction objectives. ....

Recently the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) purged a number of its executives. But many of those fired have returned to work after the courts ordered them reinstated.
On Tuesday, the Johannesburg Labour Court ordered, by agreement reached between the parties, that Hishaam Emeran (CEO of Prasa Tech), Tebogo Rakau (Chief Security Officer) and Nosipho Damasane (CEO of Prasa Rail) resume work on 15 March.
On 19 February, Prasa Chairperson Leonard Ramatlakane announced that the three executives, along with Group Company Secretary Sandile Dlamini, had been fired after an assessment found that they had “performed below par”. According to the statement, this was done “following a due process”. ....
