Midwives team up with Bolton Council of Mosques to deliver new antenatal service

MIDWIVES have teamed up with Bolton Council of Mosques (BCOM) to deliver a new service.
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust s community midwife team is preparing to launch its new two ay antenatal clinic at the Deane-based centre next week.
It comes at the trust celebrates International Day of the Midwife.
The antenatal drop-in sessions will run every Monday afternoon and whilst he service is largely aimed at the diverse ethnic communities in this area including women who may not have English as a first language, it is open to all who wish to access care at the location.
The drop-ins are available to discuss anything non-medical such as queries around preparation for labour, diet and other wellbeing factors during pregnancy, contraception following birth. ....

Beginning in the bar, transformed into the night cafe Van Gogh painted, we follow actors from space to space, into offices and up and down stairs, the story as part of our bodies as we follow Van Gogh (Harry Taylor) towards his inevitable death.
The piece is ably constructed (designer Irma Calabrese makes locations pop) but its choice to simply present Van Goghâs life rather than examine it feels like a missed opportunity, especially in the immersive format. ....

Horse enthusiasts throw parade for Tofield seniors

EDMONTON
Horse enthusiasts east of Edmonton were champing at the bit to start off the new year by bringing cheer to seniors.
Horse Heroes Alberta moseyed into Tofield Friday morning.
Eight horses and riders along with Molly the Miniature Pony toured the parking lot of the Tofield Health Centre and two senior centres.
Organizer Natasha MacDonald thinks it’s important for the horse community to show support for seniors in rural long term care homes during the pandemic.
“I think it’s a new day of a new year, and it’s a moment that we can appreciate what we have and be grateful for everything we have,” she said. ....
