Two of New Zealand’s hottest new acts, Harper Finn and LA Women, are joining forces and hitting the road, playing shows in Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington and Auckland this May.
HARPER FINN is no stranger to the NZ live music scene, starting out as the keyboard player for a sprawling 8-piece hip-hop group, appearing at some of the hottest R18 venues while still underage. Following his time working nights at a local venue in downtown Auckland, and after honing his song-writing skills, Finn headed out on his own with singles ‘Conversations (With The Moon)’, and ‘Norway’, before exploding onto radio airwaves with the massive summer hit ‘Dance Away These Days’. Harper Finn, new pop with an old soul

The 23-year-old belies his age when he speaks of his passion for songwriting and performance.
His appreciation for a great song transcends the modern pop production that colours much of his recorded output.
“Of course I love production but when you can play a song simply, the chords, the melody and the lyrics. When a song has the ability to move you when you strip it back to its simplest form, then it’s a great song,” Finn said.
Lyrically Finn’s songs have broad scope, ranging from his youth, with stories of nights on the town and ‘‘teenage queens’’ to cosmic imagery and a plea to put down the cellphone and live in the moment from the single ....
