Jamestown Committee Approves Citywide Cleanup May 10th-14th

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After nearly two months of discussion and research, the Jamestown Public Works Committee moved to approve a Citywide Cleanup for the week of May 10th through the 14th. Sanitation Foreman Shawn O’Neill informed the committee that if they were to move forward with the cleanup, he would not have enough staff at this time to conduct the weeklong event. O’Neill stated they would need to rent two loaders with six part-time employees to help during the week. Councilmember David Steele stated that Deputy Auditor Jay Sveum would be tasked with finding part-time work for the week.

Events returning to city after a quiet year due to COVID Boscobel Depot Museum BOSCOBEL - Starting with last week’s Easter Egg Hunt and Fireworks Fundraiser, the return of annual events in Boscobel signals a return to somewhat more normal times one year after the coronavirus outbreak, although officials still strongly recommend wearing masks and social distancing, as well as getting the COVID-19 vaccine when available. Beginning Saturday, May 1, the Boscobel Farmer’s Market returns to Depot Park from 8 a.m. to noon through October. May 1 also marks the opening of the Depot Heritage Museum Saturdays from 9-1, also through October. Depot Day will be held on Saturday, June 19.

2021 Leominster Citywide Cleanup kicks off on Earth Day

Courtesy of City of Leominster This year s Leominster Citywide Cleanup will kick off Thursday, April 22, which is Earth Day, and will run through Friday, May 21 at 4 p.m. Groups, organizations, businesses, families, friends and individuals are all welcome to participate. You can get your free T-shirt, gloves and trash bags in the Business and Tourism Office (Room 6) at Leominster City Hall. The Business and Tourism Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Pick your time, pick your location, and pick up some trash. Once you re done, let the Department of Public Works know where you left your bags and they ll come get them. Their number is (978) 534-7596. You ll be helping to keep Leominster looking great.
