LAHORE: As many as 49 cricketers among 346 personnel were part of the online Level-1 Umpiring course for umpires and match referees which took place from June 7 to 25. These cricketers include Pakistan internationals –– Abdul Rauf, Bilal Asif, Salman Butt and Shoaib Khan. To develop match officials, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned to introduce Level 1, 2 and 3 courses for umpires and match referees. In accordance to that the PCB has successfully concluded the phase 1 of the Level-1 course, where the participants had a question and answer sessions and were given online lectures on the basic umpiring rules, regulations and laws of the game. The courses were conducted by PCB’s Elite and Supplementary Panels of Match Referees. In the second phase, the participants will now undergo written tests, interviews and fitness tests in due course. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will hold a meeting with the heads of the First Boards at the National High Performance Centre in Lahore on Saturday to discuss the next 12 months objectives.
The domestic team of PCB will also be presenting the domestic structure and plans to each of the six Board’s in the coming week.
“During the meeting, the PCB will present on the PCB Constitution 2019, club registration process and domestic cricket structure, besides discussing various appointments as part of the administrative setup,” the PCB said in a media release on Wednesday. ....

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani on Sunday said that the Board has asked International Cricket Council (ICC) that they need written confirmation that their players, fans and journalists would be issued visas for the ICC T20 World Cup which India is supposed to host in October this year.
“I have told the PCB Board of Governors that we have asked the ICC that we need written confirmation that our players, fans and journalists in particular will be issued visas. I have already taken up this issue with the ICC and tomorrow I have a virtual meeting with the world body and will raise this again,” Mani told a news conference here at a hotel on Sunday. ....

First Boards of six Cricket Associations
In line with Clause 16 of the PCB Constitution 2019, the BoG approved First Boards of the six Cricket Associations for a one-year term.
During this period, the First Boards will carry out functions attributed to the management committees in the Model Constitutions for City Cricket and Cricket Associations, including managing and running day to day affairs, supervising the first registration of Cricket Clubs under each CCA as per applicable regulations/bylaws and monitoring and organising cricket events and activities within its jurisdiction. ....
