Bus Bandh: KSRTC strike total; Private buses ply from Sub-Urban Bus Stand

Mysore/Mysuru: The ever-bustling
KSRTC Sub-Urban Bus Stand in city wore a completely different look with Private and Mini-buses dotting the bus stand, as the indefinite stir launched by KSRTC employees, seeking fulfilment of their nine-point charter of demands, including implementation of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, began this morning.
The strike was a total success in the city and district, with no KSRTC buses operating from the Sub-Urban and City Bus Stands since morning. While the KSRTC Sub-Urban Bus Stand saw a beeline of Private buses and other public transport vehicles waiting to pick up passengers, who were however less in number as compared to usual days, the City Bus Stand wore a completely deserted look, with no passengers nor buses. ....

KSRTC strike from tomorrow - Star of Mysore

No work no pay, Govt. warns staff
Mysore/Mysuru: With the Government rejecting the demands of
KSRTC employees who have sought implementation of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission among others, the Employee Unions of all the four State-run Transport Corporations KSRTC, BMTC, NWKRTC and NEKRTC will go on an indefinite strike from tomorrow (Apr. 7).
Meanwhile, State Government has warned striking KSRTC employees of ‘No work no pay.’
With Transport Unions calling for an indefinite strike, KSRTC bus services will be badly affected from tomorrow. However, the Government said it has planned an alternative transport mechanism across the State to ensure that commuters are not inconvenienced by the strike. ....
