Yard waste pickup delays throughout Gastonia
A change in how often the city of Gastonia picks up yard waste has some residents upset.
City crews now pick up yard waste once a month rather than on a weekly basis in most cases. In some cases, even monthly yard waste pickups have been delayed.
It s been more than three weeks since we have had any pickup and our neighbors have the same issue, said Madison Lockridge, a resident of the Gardner Park neighborhood for almost two years.
A large pile of leaves, sticks and tree limbs has been piled in front of Lockridge s home for almost a month, she said last week. ....
