MARSHALL, Texas (PRESS RELEASE) - On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, the City of Marshall Public Works Department responded to a water main break in the vicinity of Grove Street, Public Works crews were on site and able to repair the water main. However, due to low Pressure the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Marshall public water system to notify all customers in the affected area to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). The boil water notice is for the residents located in the following areas: 400 & 500 Block of South Grove Street and residents in the 400 block of West Burleson Street. Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions. ....

MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) - Residents of Marshall are no longer advised to boil their water before consumption.
Following the replacement of a 10-foot section of a water main on Friday, April 16, the City of Marshall Public Works Department was required to issue a water boil notice according to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). After compliance with the (TCEQ) testing procedures, the Boil Water Notice issued for the residents located on Charlotte and Fair Street is now lifted and water quality has been assured to be safe for consumption on Thursday, April 22. ....

MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) - On Thursday, April 15, 2021, the City of Marshall Public Works crews responded to a water line break due to a contractor hitting our 10″ water main located on the railroad tracks South of Houston Street and Ward Street.
The Public Works Department had to replace a 10-foot section of this water main, which directly affected the residents located on Charlotte Street and Fair Street.
The City of Marshall expects to take water samples on Monday, April 19, weather permitting, to be tested. ....
