All ages and skill levels are encouraged to submit their best work for display. Artwork can be in these categories, although the show is not limited to them: paintings, drawings, coloring pages, textiles including quilts and T-shirt designs, sculpture and all kinds of crafts. All ages, all abilities and skill levels are welcome. Artwork will be handled with the utmost respect, but entry is at the artist’s risk. ....

LEWISTOWN The Downtown Discovery Easter Egg Hunt contest kicks off on Friday, March 19. Kids ages 3 through 11 are challenged to find up to 32 brightly colored cardboard eggs, including three new eggs created by local artists Brooke Walters, Kathryn Newcamp and Galena Yoder. LEWISTOWN East End Coffee Company in Lewistown recently completed rehabilitation of the 18 East Market St. storefront aided in part by a reimbursement grant from Downtown Lewistown Inc. The brick exterior was cleaned and painted by local painter Jeremy Croissette with recovering of the existing awning frame with a canvas replacement provided by Mid State Awning of Bellefonte. As a stipulation of the grant and in agreement with the Borough of Lewistown, all exterior elevations must be code compliant upon completion. Downtown Lewistown Inc. provided a $2,719 matching reimbursement grant for the facade improvement effort. ....
