32 New Cases Of COVID-19, 3 New Deaths In Windsor Essex On Tuesday


Today’s New Cases
Cases increased from 13,413 on Monday March 15th to 13,445 on Tuesday March 16th and 281 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.

The Health Unit says 1 case is outbreak related, 8 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 8 cases are community acquired, and 15 cases are still being investigated by the Health Unit’s nursing staff.
Vaccinations
Here’s the Health Unit’s vaccination update for today:
23,786 people have received only their first dose of the vaccine (+3,160 since yesterday)
11,877 people have received both doses of the vaccine (full series) (+23 since yesterday)
A total of 47,540 doses have been administered to Windsor-Essex County residents (+3,206 since yesterday) ....

Windsor-Essex adds 32 new COVID-19 cases, three more deaths: WECHU


 
WINDSOR, ONT.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is reporting 32 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday and three more people have died related to the virus.
The health unit says the latest deaths included two men in their 70s, and one woman in her 80s all people from the community.
The death toll related to COVID-19 has reached 401 people.
Windsor-Essex has had a total of 13,445 confirmed cases of the virus, including 12,763 people who have recovered.
Here’s the breakdown of new cases:

8 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases
8 case is community acquired
15 case are still under investigation ....

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported 32 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday and three more deaths due to the virus.
Eight of the new cases were close contacts of confirmed cases, one is related to an outbreak, while eight are community acquired and 15 are still under investigation.

Downtown Mission signs letter of understanding following orders from WECHU


 
WINDSOR, ONT.
Leadership at the Downtown Mission has signed a letter of understanding in order to reopen its facilities after receiving orders to close by the health unit due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
Downtown Mission executive director Ron Dunn said both he and the Mission’s board chair signed the letter last week, and that they are working “very closely” with the Windsor Essex County Health Unit.
The memorandum of understanding from WECHU outlines point by point orders to reopen the shelter on Victoria Avenue and 875 Ouellette.
Some of the orders include separated bunk beds, making sure staff and volunteers are properly equipped with PPE, a single entrance at both locations and for all visitors to wear face coverings. ....
