Updated Downtown Sonora PG&E power outage Update at 3 p.m.: PG&E reports the power has been restored to 93 customers that lost power this afternoon in downtown Sonora. The lights went out in the area of Lyons Street near the intersection of South Stewart Street. The power was restored just before 3 p.m. The utility did not immediately give a cause for the nearly two-hour outage. Original post at 1:50 p.m.: Sonora, CA PG&E is reporting a power outage in downtown Sonora impacting nearly 100 customers. The origin of the outage is on Lyons Street near the intersection of South Stewart Street, according to the utility, which reports that 93 customers are affected. There is no word as to whether businesses along Washington Street are involved in the outage. ....
The meeting will begin with an introduction from new District One Supervisor David Goldemberg. Later the council will discuss the recently created Social Equity Committee. Specifically, the council will decide whether to do a community workshop related to communication strategies with a goal to “promote inclusivity, listening and social equity across differences.” The meeting documents note that workshop for the committee, and open to the general public, would be conducted by Lynn Peters, who is a social justice practitioner with 30 years of non-profit and community organizing experience who has worked to change social norms around violence, racism and oppression. The cost to facilitate the workshop is typically $450, but the facilitator is offering to provide it to the city pro-bono. ....

Similar to the Angels Camp Light Up The Night Marry and Bright voting the awards are Clarke Griswold Trophy, Buddy the Elf Trophy, Spirit of Calaveras Trophy, and People’s Choice Trophy.
