Philip Treick, chief investment officer of the University of Wyoming Foundation, will speak with Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Friday, April 23.
A Wyoming native, Treick has extensive financial asset management experience that includes portfolio management, energy finance and financial analysis. He also is an academic professional lecturer in the UW College of Business, where he instructs two undergraduate portfolio management classes where students manage capital of nearly $3 million.
His career began in 1987 as a financial analyst in the Public Finance Department at Raymond James. Following that, he worked as a generalist for Transamerica Corp., where he was an equity trader. Treick spent 11 years at Transamerica analyzing and investing in sectors such as software, insurance, media and entertainment, and various technology sectors. ....

Matt Kaufman, a partner with the law firm of Hathaway & Kunz LLP in Cheyenne, will speak with University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Friday, March 5.
Kaufman received both his undergraduate and law degrees from UW. He also has a graduate law degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder, and a certificate from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education in financial technology and transformative financial services. In his law practice, he focuses on business, corporate, finance, securities, blockchain, digital assets and technology.

John Accardo, a global business executive from Cody, will speak with University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Friday, Feb. 26, and Thursday, March 4.
Accardo will meet virtually with full-time MBA students Friday at 10 a.m. and is scheduled for another session with online MBA students at 6 p.m. March 4. He will discuss his personal background, including graduating from UW and returning to the Cowboy State. WHEELING Former Ohio County Administrator Greg Stewart now manager of The HIghlands apologized Wednesday night for any controversy his recent job change brought to Ohio County.
The Ohio County Development Authority, meanwhile, has determined a contract approved by the OCDA on Dec. 15 to hire Stewart and his newly-formed company CMAD wasn’t approved properly. Work continues in crafting to correct flaws and get a second contract approved.
Members speaking out indicated they had a great deal of confidence and respect for Stewart, and want to see him continue in the job. They passed a motion giving him authority to negotiate any needed lease agreements with tenants at The Highlands. ....
