Rock carvings which date back 2000 years at North Bondi are at risk of destruction because they are not fenced nor signposted.
The carvings, near Bondi Golf and Diggers Club, are believed to represent a man being attacked by sharks, possibly recording the first shark attack at the world famous beach.

Ancestral footprints, called mundoes, left from the traditional owners of the Bidjigal and Gadigal clans, once led to the site but have since faded. According to Waverley Council’s 2020 Management Plan, there is “potential loss of rock engravings and geological monuments due to weathering, erosion and degradation”. ....
