The VT4 design, a Chinese export-only tank, serves to deepen ties with Pakistan at a time when Chinese actions in the region have stoked tensions.
Pakistan will import the Chinese-developed VT4 main battle tank, Jane’s reported. The tank is thought to be based on the Al-Khalid platform also developed by the Chinese state-owned defense corporation Norinco for export to Pakistan.
Jane’s noted that Pakistani officials were pleased with the VT4’s performance. One Pakistani general purportedly “expressed satisfaction” with a recent VT4 capability demonstration. ....

10-year-old dies after falling into septic tank, 4 in rescue bid killed | India News

Agra: Five persons, including four from a family, were killed on Tuesday after inhaling poisonous gas inside a septic tank in Agra’s Fatehabad area. The string of deaths began when a 10-year-old boy accidentally fell into an under-construction septic tank which was filled with filth flowing from another tank nearby in Pratapura.
Anurag Sharma had slipped into the 12-feet deep tank while playing outside his house. His elder brothers Hari Mohan (17) and Avinash Sharma (16) jumped into the gaping hole soon after hearing the wails of their younger sibling. Then, panic-stricken, their uncle Sonu Sharma (32) followed. Another person, a neighbour, Yogesh Baghel (20), known to be a close family friend, tried to save them, paying with his life. All of them fell unconscious and died on the spot. According to villagers, the tank was dug three days ago and was not covered. ....

Ukrainian Lviv Armored Plant handed over a new batch of modernized T-64 and T-72 tanks to the defense ministry.
The tanks are equipped with the latest communication systems and fire control, instrumentation day and night vision reversing camera, smoke grenade systems and dynamic protection against cumulative shells, state-owned Ukroboronprom said in a statement.
In total, since the beginning of 2021, this state-owned enterprise has modernized more than ten T-64 and T-72 vehicles.
It will be recalled that the Lviv Armored Plant repairs and manufactures military equipment, including armored fire engines GPM-72 and GPM-54, armored repair and evacuation vehicles Lev and Zubr and tactical armored wheeled vehicle Dozor-B .
