Corky L. Hendricks A local man previously identified as a witness to the 2019 murder of LeeAnna Brumley has now been sentenced to five years for his role in the attempted coverup. Corky Lee Hendricks, 41, of Science Hill, pleaded guilty last month via Rocket Docket to one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence. The charge stems from the May 22, 2019, fatal shooting of Brumley. Brumley was 25 when she disappeared in May 2019. A break in the case came that fall after local law enforcement announced that Hendricks was wanted for questioning but it was ultimately 34-year-old Danelle Nicole Powell who was charged with Brumley s murder. ....
Commonwealth Journal Feb 6, 2021 A Somerset man was arrested by the Pulaski County Sheriffâs Office Thursday on drug-related charges after a traffic stop. Brandon Mayfield, 31, is charged with first-degree Possession of a Controlled Substance â Methamphetamine and first-degree Possession of a Controlled Substance â Heroin. According to PCSO, the charges stem from an earlier investigation by the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole. Officer Jason Hardwick, with the Division of Probation and Parole, and Eubank Police Department Chief Tony Duncan conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Ky. 27. In that traffic stop, officers spotted and took into custody Mayfield, who was being sought on Pulaski Circuit Court Indictments for multiple counts of trafficking in methamphetamine and Fentanyl, as well as being a Persistent Felony Offender. ....

Corky Lee Hendricks, 40, of Science Hill, was initially due to stand trial last week on charges of Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun; Cultivation of Marijuana, 5 or More Plants (1st offense); and two counts of first-degree Persistent Felony Offender. Hendricks current charges are not connected to the Brumley murder and he has not been charged in that case. However, he was appointed conflict counsel so that he wouldn t have to be represented by the local public defender s office, which had already been appointed to someone else also involved with the Brumley case. ....

A Somerset man and his passenger were arrested Thursday night following a routine traffic stop conducted by the Pulaski County Sheriff s Office. Eric Daniel Nicholas, 48, of Pond Meadow Road, has been charged with first-degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (2nd or greater offense, more than two grams of methamphetamine); Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st offense, heroin); No Insurance; and second-degree Persistent Felony Offender. Autumn Decker, 22, of McKee, Kentucky, has been charged with Disorderly Conduct. According to Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck, the charges stem from an incident that began just after 10 p.m. when Deputy Branson Patterson stopped a 2013 Dodge Challenger on Pond Meadow Road for a reported traffic violation. During the stop, the deputy located 3.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine; 3.9 grams of suspected heroin; and $9,701 in cash all on the ....
