ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.  Students in Rio Rancho will head back to the classroom to resume hybrid-model learning Tuesday. 
This comes as the state is experiencing another upward trend in coronavirus cases in our state. So what can parents expect?
School officials said they are constantly reviewing their re-entry plans, though they believe what they have in place is working.
Right now, only elementary school students will attend class in-person part-time. The goal is to keep those students in the classroom through the rest of the school year, but there are some challenges.
“For the most part, the majority of our staff is very excited to have kids back,” said Janna Chenault, Elementary School Improvement Officer for Rio Rancho Public Schools. “A lot of the schools went and made welcome signs and set up different things on their campuses.” ....
