Two arrests over Costessey and Matishall robbery incidents

Enquiries are ongoing to find a second man involved in the incident at Mattishall.

Costessey post office worker Susan Potter, who has worked at the store for more than 20 years, described how a man told her to empty the till.
She said: “He just kept saying ‘give me the money, give me the money’. I just kept very calm and kept saying no.”
Detective inspector Alix Wright said: We are still investigating the circumstances and any links between the two incidents. We would ask for anyone with information to get in contact. While staff were threatened in the incidents, fortunately no one was injured.” ....

Two Norfolk pubs for sale | Eastern Daily Press

The Gallon Pot in Great Yarmouth is for sale.

Two Norfolk pubs, both rebuilt after being bombed during the Second World War, are for sale.
The Gorleston Tramway and the Gallon Pot in Great Yarmouth are for sale for £375,000 and £250,000 respectively.

But the sales could not come at a worse time when pubs are suffering because of Covid.
The Tramway opened in the 19th century, named after the Yarmouth and Gorleston Horse Tramway close by.
The building was destroyed by bombing in 1941 and was rebuilt in 1950.
The Tramway in Gorleston is for sale.

Last year it closed for more than two weeks, after its former landlord left after an incident in which a woman set fire to the toilets after a costly refurbishment. ....
