Twenty years ago we worried about having the best turnout gear and the best air packs, and nowadays we re having to worry about, Are we going to get shot? Adams said. Courtesy Park County Sheriff’s Office The Park County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division Deputies were presented with new Angel Armor body Armor, provided by the Organization SHIELD 616 in partnership with local community donors. Roughly $2,400 per Patrol Deputy was donated to provide each one with a new state-of-the-art vest and helmet. The Angel Armor RISE 2.0 vests come with Truth SNAP 308 C Plates and a Revision BALTSKIN VIPER A3 helmet. ....

(WAFB) - The Central Private Student Council is hosting a memorial volleyball tournament to show support for law enforcement officers, honor fallen officers, and raise money to buy Angel Armor bulletproof vests for officers in the area. Money is being raised through the sale of “Back the Blue” t-shirts, a raffle, and tickets to the volleyball tournament. All proceeds will go toward buying the armor, the school says. ....
 The City of Española Public Safety Committee during its Jan. 6 meeting moved for the full city council to accept a $10,789.20 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to reimburse the police department for body armor purchases in 2020.    Police Chief Roger Jimenez spoke about the armor during the meeting.    âWe had the opportunity to apply for, I believe it was approximately $21,000 for bulletproof vest funds, and we were accepted and granted $10,789.20. Weâve been pretty aggressive seeking grants and this is one of them,â Jimenez said. âI wanted to give kudos to Lieutenant Richard Trujillo, we tasked him with getting this and he was able to get it done for us.â ....
