Southport, CT - One of New York’s most beloved jazz and swing bands Svetlana and the Delancey Five will perform a rare local area concert on the front lawn of Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday May 15 at 3:00 pm. This special event is open to ALL members of the community regardless of their religious affiliation. Led by vocalist Svetlana Shmulyian, the internationally-known quintet plays a high-energy combination of 1920s-40s jazz and swing standards along with contemporary original music, all backed by the band members harmonizing and virtuoso instrumentals. Svetlana and the Delancey Five has headlined many sold-out shows in the US, including such premier venues as the Blue Note, Iridium, and Joe s Pub.
