Oxford Magistrates Court CHARLOTTE DUNNE, 39, of Bayswater Road, Headington, admitted driving at more than 40mph in a 40mph zone on the A41 Bicester on March 25. She was fined £415, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £41 and court costs of £90. Her driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points. RICKY FOTHERINGHAM, 29, of Ballingers, Shrivenham, was fined £220 and ordered to pay £124 in costs and surcharge after a charge of driving without wearing a seatbelt was found proved. CATHERINE HANDS, 31, of Russ Avenue, Faringdon, was found guilty of driving without insurance or a licence in Marlborough Close. She was fined £880, given six penalty points and ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge. ....

Courts heard about rapists who subjected victims to brutal ordeals then made them relive the horror during trials. Another judge had to sentence a man who stabbed his own sister in the neck during a row about how he cared for their dementia suffering mum and finances. ....
Police have released the bodycam footage of a disgraced police officer who was jailed for his attempt to cover up an attack on an innocent man. Darren McIntyre, 47, was sentenced to 19 months behind bars after he assaulted a man during a welfare check at a property in Ainsdale, Merseyside. Judge David Aubrey, QC, slammed the PC - who would later try and cover up the attack - for acting in sheer aggression and abuse of the powers bestowed upon you . The judge sentenced McIntyre, of Derwent Avenue in Southport, to four months in jail for assault and 15 months in prison for perverting the course of justice. ....
