Lieutenant General Walter Raria Koipatonis the Commander of the Kenya Army following his promotion and appointment on 13 July 2018. He was enlisted into the Kenya Defence Forces as an Officer Cadet on 14 May 1982 and Commissioned as an Officer on 14 April 1983. After completion of his Cadet training, he was posted to 3rd Kenya Rifles as a Platoon Commander and served in various appointments including Officer Commanding and later as Commanding Officer.
During his illustrious career in the Kenya Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Koipaton has held a raft of Command, Staff and Instructional related appointments in various Kenya Defence Forces establishments. He served as Officer Commanding Cadet Wing between 1994 -1995. Minister of Commerce and Industry, H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari said yesterday that Qatar’s industrial sector has witnessed remarkable growth coinciding with the progress made in the projects of developing the SMEs industrial zone. The total number of factories in 2020 amounted to 927, recording a 6 percent increase compared to 2019. The total volume of investments in the industrial sector in 2020 amounted to approximately QR263bn, showing a growth rate of 0.4 percent compared to 2019, said the Minister delivering a lecture at the Joaan bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College, on the role of the national economy in supporting defense efforts. Sarwar appointed as new Bangladesh ambassador to Spain

DHAKA, Feb 22, 2021 (BSS) – The government has decided to appoint Mohammad Sarwar Mahmood, currently serving as Director General of South Asia Wing of foreign ministry, as the next Bangladesh Ambassador to Spain.
Mahmood is a career foreign service officer belonging to 17th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre, a Foreign
Ministry press release said here today.
He served in various capacities in Bangladesh missions in Brussels, Singapore, New York and Hong Kong in his distinguished diplomatic career.
Mahmood worked for multiple Wings in different capacities in the Foreign Ministry.
He obtained his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration under Dhaka university and also did his masters degree with Honours in Economics from the same University. ....
