Mulago hospital says the agents target patients while in parking lots before diverting them to private facilities.

Mulago National Referral Hospital has raised concerns over a section of health facility agents and some of their staff   diverting patients from the hospital to other health facilities.
Dr Byarugaba Baterana, the executive director of Mulago hospital, yesterday said the agents have on different occasions misled patients and  needed to be investigated.
“There are a number of health facilities in names of clinics, pharmacies surrounding Mulago from almost the gate. A few days ago they did a wrong operation on a child. Masqueraders are now using those areas and we need to see whether to delicense or license them to prevent that wastage ....

Officers in the National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) together with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) at the Honiara City Central Police Station are investigating the suspicious death of a 44-year-old female Chinese national in Honiara yesterday.
An initial report say that the deceased left her house in the Ranadi area, east Honiara to drop off her twin sons at school in the morning and then went down to her shop inside the White Angel Building in Point Cruz to open it as normal. ....

Police Investigates Suspicious Death of a Chinese National in Honiara

Police at the Naha Police Station are investigating the suspicious death of a Chinese national inside the compound of the Top Timber Company at Ranadi. The deceased was discovered inside his apartment on the early hours of Tuesday 6th April 2021.
The deceased is  said to from Guandong Province in China, and was employed by the Top Timber Company as the Grading and Consultation Supervisor. He resided at the Top Timber compound where the incident occurred. ....

Operational Update: More than 1 Million Defined Daily Doses of Medication Shipped This Week
An update on the last seven days of Direct Relief s operational activity.
A medical provider at Alta Med, a health center with 35 sites in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, provides care to a patient in Dec. 2020. The health center sees more than 300,000 patients each year, and Direct Relief has shipped protective gear and requested medical essentials to the provider throughout the pandemic. 347 shipments of requested medical aid to
43 U.S. states and territories and
13 countries worldwide.
The shipments contained more than
1.3 million defined daily doses of medication, including insulin, antibiotics, and other essential medications, as well as medical essentials for Covid-19 response, including personal protective equipment, or PPE, and powered air purifying respirators, or PAPRs. ....
