Organisations commit to developing Workplace Policies on HIV and AIDS with the assistance of the Ministry of Labour’s HIV Workplace Advocacy Unit
Four organisations took the step to provide further protection and support for their workers by entering into Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Labour on addressing HIV and AIDS as a workplace issue. TECU Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited, SERVOL, The Red House and Neighboring Department Credit Union Co-operative Society (RHAND) and ECOTOX Environmental Services Limited (ECOTOX), each signed the MOU at the Ministry of Labour’s Head Office in Port of Spain on March 25 th 2021.

The Blind Welfare Association of Trinidad and Tobago presents their Workplace Policy on HIV and AIDS to the Ministry of Labour’s HIV Workplace Advocacy Unit
2 February, 2020, Port-of-Spain: The Trinidad and Tobago Blind Welfare Association (TTBWA) presented its recently completed HIV and AIDS Workplace Policy to the HIV Workplace Advocacy Unit (HWAU) of the Ministry of Labour (MOL) on Tuesday 26th January, 2021. The presentation of this Policy has signified the commitment and collaboration of both organisations toward addressing HIV and AIDS in the Blind Welfare Association. The completion of this Policy by the TTPBWA follows the signing of two (2) Memoranda of Understanding by both organisations in 2017 and 2020 respectively.
