Venture into entrepreneurship: Finance Minister to youth

The Minister of Finance, Mr Ken Ofori Atta has urged the youth to take advantage of the various entrepreneurship programmes rolled out by the government to create jobs for themselves and others in Ghana.
He mentioned specifically the National Entrepreneurship and Innovative Programme (NEIP) that was setup to provide financial and technical support to the youth who had various business ideas to enable them develop their businesses.
He therefore, urged Ghanaians especially, the youth to discard that notion that it was the government that could create jobs for everyone in the country of which they the youth are capable of creating through their set skills with financial and technical support from the governmental agencies. ....

National legislation - startup-act is the emerging innovation strategy most countries are adapting to create an enabling environment that supports innovative start-ups and drives local economic growth. The disruptions to the global value chains by the COVID-19 pandemic is a wakeup call to all countries of the urgency to support local innovations and entrepreneurs towards recovery of local economies.
Tunisia led the way as the first African country to pass a startup act that supports the development of tech-enabled ventures in April 2018 [1] . By December 2019, Senegal became the second African country to enact a startup act that spells out tax policies and financing incentives targeted at tech-enabled ventures [2] . ....
