The union representing striking dock workers at the Port of Montreal says it will challenge the validity of the federal government’s back-to-work legislation.
Michel Murray, a spokesperson for chapter 375 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, called the legislation which passed the House of Commons early Thursday morning and is scheduled to be addressed in the Senate on Friday unconstitutional, the CBC reports. The union has also reportedly filed complaints with the International Labour Organization. ....
