The road trip is a quintessential American summer vacation experience. And with May 28 being National Road Trip Day, now is the perfect time to pack up the family and hit the road. Prepare for your trip by taking a look back in time at some iconic road trip destinations and classic vacation images taken throughout recent U.S. history.
