Dozens of Air Peace passengers, Thursday night, slept inside the Arrival Hall at the MM1 wing of the Lagos airport, Nigeria’s busiest.
The P4 7125 flight from Abuja initially scheduled for 9:00p.m., eventually took off at 11:00pm and landed minutes after 12 midnight despite the nationwide curfew.
On May 10, the federal government announced another phase of restriction to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed, said a ban had been placed on human and vehicular movement from 12:00a.m. to 4:00a.m, except those on essential services.
Air Peace customers condemned treatment by the company and wondered whether the airline forgot a curfew was in place. ....

BREAKING: Again, gunmen set another police station ablaze In Abia

A yet-to-be-identified gunmen have again attacked another police station in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, setting the station ablaze.
DAILY POST gathered that the latest attack occurred in the early hours of Thursday when the assailants invaded the facility and engaged officers on duty in a gun duel.
It was also learnt that the hoodlums set free some detainees during the attack, while an officer sustained injury.
Details of the incident is still sketchy as at press time.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, CSP Geoffrey Ogbonna was unable to take his call and could not respond to messages forwarded to him by DAILY POST correspondent. ....

Mixed reactions have continued to trail the announcement by the Federal Government of Nigeria that another lockdown would be imposed on the country from midnight of Monday.
DAILY POST had reported that the Federal Government had on Monday announced another phase of the nationwide COVID-19 curfew to further curtail the spread of the disease.
The National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed, made this known during the presidential briefing in Abuja on Monday.
Mohammed said the curfew would take effect from the midnight of Monday, 12 am to 4 am.
He announced that effective from Tuesday, enforcement of curfew on nightclubs, gyms and other places would commence until further notice. ....
