In March during National Future Farmers of America (FFA) week, the Polk County Soybean - Corn Growers recently donated $250 to each of the four FFA chapters in Polk County. The four high school chapters include Climax, Fertile, Fisher and Crookston.
FFA Organization is the premier youth organization, preparing members for leadership and exciting careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture, focused on middle and high school classes that promote and support agricultural education.
“Supporting a group like FFA is important to ensure that we have another generation interested in a broad range of agricultural career pathways,” said Kevin Krueger, chair of the Polk County Soybean and Corn Growers Association. “Many of us know firsthand how FFA can develop these students’ potential and help them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which gives them the tools to achieve real-world success.
Tractor Drive launches FFA day at Rigby High School
RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) - The Rigby FFA is celebrating National Future Farmers of America Week Thursday with an appreciation luncheon at Rigby High School.
The day began with the annual Tractor Drive, where students drove their family tractors into Rigby for school.
The Tractor Drive is sponsored by Scotty’s True Value and the luncheon by Grub Slingers. The day culminates with a “Weld Off” sponsored by Norco, Pacific Steel, and Southco Metals.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - Governor Mike Parson proclaimed February 20-27 as National FFA Week in Missouri.
Missouri FFA President Justin Eddy of Columbia received the proclamation on behalf of the 2020-2021 Missouri FFA State Officer team.

TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - Fighting food deserts and the expansion of agriculture is on the minds of some Tift County students.
This as National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week is being celebrated in South Georgia schools.
National FFA Week kicked off across the United States and is from Feb. 20 to Feb. 27.

Colonial High AgriScience program receives honor from National Future Farmers of America
Students raise farm animals on campus as part of curriculum

ORLANDO, Fla. – Colonial High School’s AgriScience program just received a huge honor the National Future Farmers of America after being awarded the Model of Excellence Award.
That places the program in the top 0.1% of programs nationwide. Colonial High School is the Animal Sciences magnet for all of Orange County. About 800 students are enrolled in the program.

“It’s one of those honors that you know exists, but you never actually know anyone who actually receives it because it is so grand,” said FFA sponsor and AgriScience teacher Caela Paioff.
