PEOPLE living with disabilities held a peaceful demonstration today in Windhoek to express their dismay with the lack of advancement of their rights and further accused the government of neglecting them.

The chairperson of Namibia National Association of Deaf (NNAD) Beata Armas handed over the petition to the office of Minister of Gender and Social Welfare, Doreen Sioka in which the group demands immediate restoration of order at the National Disability Council of Namibia.
