In the past 10 years, rural hospitals across Tennessee have struggled to stay open. Many of them closed, leaving the nearby communities without a way to get close medical care. Now, some hospitals are reopening now that a company is taking interest in the state.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. â The buyers of Decatur County s hospital said it s just the beginning of reopening rural hospitals statewide.
The now failed Decatur hospital is under new management, Braden Health. It s a company that specializes in reopening rural healthcare facilities and trying to make them profitable again.
