Authorities investigating after Nebraska inmate attacked April 5, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail TECUMSEH, Neb. (AP) Law enforcement and prosecutors are investigating after an inmate at the state prison in Tecumseh was attacked and repeatedly stabbed over the weekend. The attack happened late Saturday morning in the prison’s outside yard, when two inmates cut and stabbed another inmate in his arms and torso, the Lincoln Journal Star reported. Prison staff found two homemade weapons, and an investigation into the assault has begun. Prison officials say the Johnson County Attorney will review the findings of the investigation to determine whether to pursue criminal charges. Meanwhile, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services will go through its disciplinary process to punish the attackers by such means as docking good-time privileges.. ....
Grey s Anatomy Casts Robert I. Mesa as First Indigenous Doctor on the Show (EXCLUSIVE) Kate Aurthur, provided by FacebookTwitterEmail Robert I. Mesa, who made his debut on “Grey’s Anatomy” in the third episode of this season, playing intern James Chee, has been bumped up to be a recurring cast member on the ABC medical drama. Chee is the first indigenous doctor on “Grey’s Anatomy” in its 17 seasons, and he will next appear in the episode airing on April 15. Chee was introduced as part of the new class of interns at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, who are embarking on their careers as doctors during the COVID-19 pandemic. In his first episode, Chee was hazed by neurosurgeon Tom Koracick (Greg Germann), and forced to do data entry only to discover that the reason it wasn’t working was that all of the patients had died of COVID. He will be featured in several more episodes this season. ....
Feb. 25—A Greene County site will soon be a new state park educating people about Tecumseh and the Shawnee Indian tribe during their time spent in the area. Ohio has agreed to buy about 0.7 acres of land for $260,000 that currently houses the Tecumseh Motel on U.S. 68 north of Xenia. The state is buying the motel from Vijay Patel, according to Greene County property records. The sale should be . ....
