Network Rail works in Dartford An operation to crane out a major landmark railway bridge at Dartford Station has been completed, proving to be a spectacle. Network Rail said engineers worked over the Easter bank holiday in south east London and north Kent to carry out a number of major improvements on the network. The work included replacing a major bridge just west of Dartford station, repair earthworks near Tonbridge and improve the railway track near Hither Green and Petts Wood. This meant no London-bound trains were able to depart from the Dartford hub from April 2 to April 5, and passengers were advised to minimise travel over the weekend. ....
Tunbridge Wells to Tonbridge railway closed until February 20 for landslip repairs in High Brooms | Updated: 14:15, 05 February 2021 A railway line between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge will be closed for another two weeks while engineers carry out emergency landslip repairs, Network Rail has announced. The line between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells will be closed until February 20. Picture: Network Rail A full closure was put in place which they expected to last until February 2, but now engineers say more work is needed to permanently fix and protect the 150 metre stretch.
