KUALA LUMPUR (June 28): Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd, which has been in the limelight due to audit issues that resulted in resignations of its external auditor KPMG plus five independent directors, has continued to achieve earnings growth in the latest quarter ended March 31, 2021. Nonetheless, this did not lend support to its share price, which plunged to a new record low of 32 sen this morning from RM1.61 prior to the audit fiasco. The latest quarterly net profit of RM113.32 million pushed the oil and gas (O&G) service firm’s annual net profit to RM745.06 million for the financial period ended March 31, 2021 to a new record high. Quarterly revenue stood at RM1.38 billion, bringing the total to RM7.4 billion. ....

Johor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Yahaya Madis said they were always on high alert for changes in weather conditions and in this case, from monsoon to dry season. He highlighted that constant monitoring was being conducted at high-risk areas such as landfills, plantation areas and village gardens. “Based on our early statistics this year, the five hotspots identified are Parit Raja and Ayer Hitam in Batu Pahat, Jalan Mersing-Jemaluang (Mersing) and Kampung Parit Amal (Muar). ....

The group said its operation and maintenance (O&M) business generated RM1.5bil in revenue during the last quarter, while the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) segment doubled its contribution top RM203mil. Serba Dinamik said the higher price of crude oil is expected to boost the group s performance in 2021. January 25, 2021 KUALA LUMPUR (BERNAMA) – Eighteen illegal Indonesian immigrants were detained at Teluk Ramunia, Kota Tinggi, Johor while attempting to enter the country illegally yesterday. According to a statement from the Malaysian Third Infantry Division Headquarters in the Terendak Camp, Melaka, all of them were detained in three raids at 2.15am, 7am and 10.50am during Op Benteng. In the statement, the Quick Reaction Force team with the drone team of the Defence Staff Intelligence Division were deployed after the Malaysian Maritime Sea Surveillance System (Swasla) detected the movement of a suspicious boat heading towards the location. “The immigrants, comprising five men and 13 women aged between 28 and 51, were believed to have just entered the country illegally. ....
