Telangana Private School Teachers To Get Financial Aid From Govt, 25 kgs Rice Apr 26, 2021, 10:53 IST
HYDERABAD: With many private teachers and staff members working without or on half salaries due to the pandemic that ensued since last year, the Telangana government had announced financial aid of Rs 2,000 and 25 kg rice for them. With the closure of educational institutions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers and non-teaching staff of many private schools are surviving with hardly enough money to live on. This assistance will continue till the educational institutions reopen.
The education department released Rs 32 crore for this scheme, where more than 1.45 lakh teachers and other staff were credited with the amount. Rice is being supplied through ration shops and the Civil Supplies Corporation was directed to supply about 3,625 tonnes of fine variety rice.

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court directed the state government to submit a report to the bench as to what action it has taken against the schools that are violating the
government order (GO 46, dated April 22, 2020) instructing the schools to collect only the tuition fee. “How many schools were issued notices for the disobedience of the court order,” the court asked.

Two schools in Telangana have reported as many as 35 new cases of COVID-19, a day after 12 teachers were reported to have tested positive. With the new numbers, the tally of cases from 2 schools has risen to 87. The state yesterday reported a total of 204 new cases.
Officials on Tuesday confirmed that 35 more cases have been reported from a government school in Mancherial district in Telangana. The same school had reported infections a day before. This includes 29 students and 6 parents. The patients were stable at the moment. A Residential school in Kamareddy district also reported 32 infections, adding a chunk of infections for the state on
